DEBUGGING CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 🏆

Department of CSBS in association with CAMP CORP CLUB GGITS

A one‑of‑a‑kind event to promote CODING CULTURE among CS and allied branches.

HODs are requested to CLICK HERE to nominate their team

About the Event

Department of CSBS in association with CAMP CORP CLUB GGITS is organising an Inter‑House Debugging Championship to test the raw coding and debugging skills of students across CS and allied branches.

The championship will focus on pure “pen‑and‑paper” style problem solving, with no external devices or internet allowed.

Participating Departments

Heads of the following departments are requested to shortlist and nominate one team of 6 best coders from their respective branches:

  • Computer Science (CS)
  • Computer Science & Business Systems (CSBS)
  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML)
  • Data Science (DS)
  • Internet of Things (IOT)
  • Computer Science Design (CSD)
  • AI & Robotics (AIR)
HODs are requested to CLICK HERE to nominate their team

Task for Each Team

Each nominated team must submit a valid code or pseudocode of the type “GUESS THE OUTPUT”.

The problems should be as challenging as possible, testing language rules, control flow, recursion, data types, and edge cases.

These submissions must be sent to the event convener by 3rd April 2026, 11:00 AM.

How the Championship Works

On the day of the event, each team will be locked inside a separate room and given a set of hard‑copy coding problems prepared by the other 6 branches.

For example:

  • Team CS will solve “Guess the Output” problems prepared by AIML, CSBS, DS, IOT, AIR, and CSD.
  • Similarly, each department will solve problem sets prepared by the other six.

The contest duration is 2 hours. Each team will attempt 6 questions (one from each of the other 6 departments).

Rules & Guidelines

  1. This is a test of pure, organic, raw coding knowledge. External devices, internet, or any unfair means are strictly prohibited.
  2. Use of any electronic device, online reference, or communication with other teams will lead to immediate debarment of the entire department from the contest.
  3. All solutions must be worked out using pen and paper only, under invigilator supervision.
  4. Each team must consist of exactly 6 members, nominated by the respective Head Coordinator.
  5. Only names submitted by the deadline (3rd April 2026, 11:00 AM) will be eligible.

Winning Criteria

The team/department that provides the maximum number of correct solutions will be declared the DEBUGGING CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 winners.

In case of a tie, precedence will be given to the team with fewer penalties for rule violations.

Prizes & Recognition

Winning department and team will receive:

  • Trophy of Debugging Champion for the winning Department Head Coordinator.
  • Online shopping vouchers for the winning team (brands like GIVA, FOXTALE, PALMONAS, etc.).
  • E‑certificates of participation for all members of every competing team.
